🌟 Side Quest Directory 🌟

Welcome! This is a constantly evolving directory of all of my micro-businesses and indie projects. I aim to update it in real time as I can as each quest unfolds.

Further down is a brain dump of potential future projects that I’m mulling over. I’m mostly winging this as I go, so thanks for following along!

Target Launch Date: July 20, 2025

Quest #3: Accidental Vibe Coding Bootcamp

After realizing my ecom sites were running on a codebase from 2015 (💀), I spent three weeks tearing Tidy Plans apart and rebuilding it entirely from scratch — all 4,000 lines of code — using ChatGPT as my sidekick. By the end, I was writing functional Liquid HTML and CSS with no training wheels. The site is now faster, cleaner, and finally ready for 2026 calendar season!

Start Date: July 26, 2025-ish
Target Launch Date: Good question, none of this was planned lol

Status: Complete ✅ · TidyPlans.com

Quest #4: CodeFast Online Course

To keep my coding momentum going — and because winging it will only get me so far — I’m taking CodeFast, an online course by Indie Hacker legend Marc Louvion that teaches front-end web design basics. The goal: rebuild my personal portfolio website from scratch, this time things set up the right way from the get-go, and fewer googling “why is everything broken?”

Start Date: September 1, 2025
Target Completion Date: September 20, 2025

Status: In Progress ⚠️

Quest #5: Font Camp

God love a digital product that makes money while you sleep. But with AI flooding the internet with generic content, I’m doubling down on the kinds of things it can’t easily replace — like fonts. Ill be finally enrolling in Font Camp, an online course by Abby Leighton, to learn the basics of custom typeface design, something the graphic design nerd in me has had on her bucket list to learn for years.

Start Date: September 21, 2025
Target Launch Date: September 30, 2025

Status: Postponed — but coming soon!

💡 Possible Future Quests

Another digital-only product…

If you didn’t already know this, I’m about to let you in on a major secret: Digital products are THE BEST — Zero inventory, create once/sell a billion times, insane profit margins. The tricky part is that original ideas that people are willing to pay for are tough to come up with, so I would definitely document the brainstorming process, too. Tidy Plans is already live and profitable, but I don’t think my digital project journey needs to be limited to just one shop.

A micro-Saas app…

Even though I know ZERO about what goes into shipping software, I’ve been toying with the idea of building and launching an app for a while. Mostly because I just want to learn how to do it. Even if it only ends up with five users and ten bug reports, learning how to get from zero to live in the App Store feels like a good use of time. That being said, I think I have a pretty good idea for an app…

A physical, printed zine…

I miss tangible, paper publications. I recently went to a second-hand bookshop and ended up spending a few hours flipping through old magazines and antique books. The texture, the weight, the smell, MY GOD the smell. It me realize that not only do I miss print publications, but I could totally make something of my own. A small, scrappy, personal zine, something I can fold, staple, hold. Just for the love of the game.

A physical, handmade product…

If you couldn’t tell from the above project, I have an itch to get out from behind my laptop screen and use my hands again. Perhaps this is inspired by the absolute GEM (no pun intended) of a craft store I stumbled upon in Valencia last week — it’s literally called Casa De Piedras Y Cristales (House of Stones and Crystals), and the walls are lined with beads, charms, clasps, and pendants galore — which reminds me, I really should share the funny story of my first ever Etsy shop…

Reviving my very first ecom shop back to life…

Project: Soul Food, my first ever Shopify store has been sitting dormant for years — a relic of my early experiments in selling online. The wild part? Its barebones, barely-optimized SEO has been quietly fermenting in the background, and when I randomly checked last month, I discovered it’s pulling in 25k Google search impressions a day. And I basically forgot it existed! Now I’m tempted to crack it open, dust off the shelves, and see what happens if I give it a proper refresh by applying everything I’ve learned since then — SEO tricks, design upgrades, renovating the codebase, the works.
